What to check, in order

1. Why they all fail together

Many Cat sensors share one regulated 5-volt supply from the ECM. One shorted sensor or chafed harness pulls the supply down and sets codes for every sensor on that circuit.

2. The unplug test

Unplug the shared-supply sensors one at a time. If the codes clear when one comes off, that sensor or its wiring is shorting the supply.

Check the reference voltage with everything unplugged. If it is dead or low at every connector, the ECM supply has failed.

3. When it is the ECM

Supply is dead with all sensors unplugged and the harness checks out. The module needs repair, and it is a common bench repair on 70-pin units.

Rule of thumb: power, grounds, and harness first, module second. We bench-test every unit, so if the ECM isn't your problem, we'll tell you that too.

Ship it in, get it back working

Component-level repair, bench test, and your original programming stays with your module. About 3 to 5 days on the bench. You pay the repair price at checkout, before you ship it. Any normal failure we can't fix, you get a full refund. The exceptions are when the ECM itself is the reason: a board that is cracked, burned, or eaten by water and corrosion, a proprietary chip that is no longer made, or damage from an earlier repair attempt. In those cases, and if your ECM tests good with nothing wrong, $150 covers the bench test, the written report and the return shipping, and we refund the rest.

Common questions

Why are all my Cat sensor codes setting at once?

They usually share a 5-volt supply. A single short can pull it down. Unplug sensors one at a time to find it.

What if the 5-volt supply is dead with everything unplugged?

Then the ECM supply has failed and the module needs repair.
