What's Covered

  • Defects in our workmanship
  • Component failures related to our repair or refurbishment
  • Functional failures under normal operating conditions
  • Coverage follows the unit (tracked by ECM serial number) — it is not voided if the vehicle is sold
  • No bench fee on warranty claims

What's Not Covered

  • Physical damage (drops, impacts, crushing)
  • Water or liquid damage
  • Damage from improper installation
  • Damage from electrical surges or reverse polarity
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by vehicle accidents

Warranty Claims

To file a warranty claim, submit it through our warranty page with your ECM serial number and a description of the issue. We'll troubleshoot first. If a return is needed, we'll provide instructions. Valid claims are processed at no cost.

Changes & Prior Statements

These published warranty terms are the complete and governing warranty for our products and services. They supersede any prior or verbal statements, quotes, emails, listings, or earlier warranty terms. We reserve the right to update or change our warranty and these terms at any time without notice. The current terms posted on this page apply.

CORE RETURN POLICY

Exchange purchases include a refundable core deposit. To receive your refund:

  1. Return your old ECM within 90 days of receiving your exchange unit
  2. Core must be in rebuildable condition (no physical damage, water damage, or missing components)
  3. Use the original packaging and provided return label when possible
  4. Core deposits are refunded within 5 business days of receipt

Note: Cores with physical damage, water damage, or missing components may receive a reduced refund or no refund.

REPAIR SERVICES

Bench Fee

A $350 bench fee applies to all repair submissions. This covers complete diagnostic testing, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection. The bench fee is credited toward any repair or exchange purchase.

Non-Repairable Units

If we determine your ECM cannot be repaired, we'll notify you immediately. You can apply your bench fee toward an exchange unit, or we can return your ECM. We never charge for repairs we can't complete.

Data Preservation

We do our best to preserve your calibration data and always back it up before starting work. Sometimes it's straightforward and included at no extra charge. Other times it requires extra effort and specialized recovery, which may result in additional billing if keeping your specific calibration is important. If data cannot be recovered, we can restore to OEM specifications.

If we cancel an order because of an error, any payment made for that order is refunded.
