We repair International and Navistar MaxxForce engine ECMs, including the Cat-badged CT trucks that International built.
Ship it in from anywhere, or drop it off in Princeton, Minnesota by appointment.
If your symptom is on this list, that is good news. It means we have seen it before and it is fixable.
What you see: a dead hole, misfire, or rough run that follows the ECM and not the injector.
What's happening: the driver circuit inside the module that fires the injector has failed, so the ECM stops driving one or more injectors.
What we do: we rebuild the driver circuitry and bench-test every injector channel before it ships back.
What you see: the ECM will not talk to your diagnostic tool, or the module is completely dead.
What's happening: the internal power supply or communication section has failed, often from age, a voltage spike, or moisture intrusion.
What we do: we trace and restore the power and communication side on the bench so it can be read and programmed again.
Don't see your exact symptom? Send it in anyway. These are the common ones, but these ECMs fail in other ways too, and we test every unit before we tell you what is going on.
Before we do any work on your ECM, we back up its data. If the repair goes fine, your programming never left your own ECM. If the board cannot be saved, that backup is what lets us clone your calibration into a replacement, so you are not paying twice for a tune you already own.
Self-ship free, or add a prepaid UPS label. Drop-offs in Princeton, MN by appointment.
$350 bench fee, credited toward the repair. We test it and tell you exactly what failed, usually in 1-2 business days.
Injector driver repair, power and communication restoration, whatever it needs. 5 to 10 days on the bench.
Programmed to your engine, bench-tested, and backed by our repair warranty. Plus 1-3 days return shipping.
Find the number on the ECM sticker and tap it. $895 flat, lifetime warranty on our work. Your number isn't here? Start a repair and tell us what you have.
If your ECM cannot be repaired, or you would rather not wait on a repair, we build exchange units to order.
A remanufactured unit, bench-tested, with a 2-year warranty. Exchange units start at $1,095, plus a $500 core deposit you get back when your old ECM comes in. The price for each part number is in the list below.
We need your VIN and chassis ID to program it, and it ships programmed to your truck.
We tell you what we found before any extra charge, and what you paid goes toward a replacement. We carry your settings over to the replacement so your truck keeps running the way it did.
Remanufactured, bench-tested, programmed to your truck, and backed by a 2-year warranty. Built to order.
