What to check, in order

1. The swap test

Swap two injectors. If the miss follows the injector, replace the injector. If it stays on the cylinder, it is not the injector.

If the miss stays, check the injector wiring and connectors to the ECM next. Corroded pins here mimic a bad driver.

2. What an ECM driver failure looks like

Injector circuit codes that follow the ECM instead of the injector, a steady miss on one hole, or low power with no mechanical cause.

This is one of the most common repairable failures on 70-pin ECMs, and the repair is part of the standard job.

3. What we do for the repaired unit

On every Cat 70-pin ECM we repair, we upgrade the injector drivers for durability and replace the internal battery. Every injector channel is tested before it ships back.

Rule of thumb: power, grounds, and harness first, module second. We bench-test every unit, so if the ECM isn't your problem, we'll tell you that too.

Cat 70-pin ECM repair: flat $525

Ship it in, get it back working

Component-level repair, bench test, and your original programming stays with your module. About 3 to 5 days on the bench. You pay the repair price at checkout, before you ship it. Any normal failure we can't fix, you get a full refund. The exceptions are when the ECM itself is the reason: a board that is cracked, burned, or eaten by water and corrosion, a proprietary chip that is no longer made, or damage from an earlier repair attempt. In those cases, and if your ECM tests good with nothing wrong, $150 covers the bench test, the written report and the return shipping, and we refund the rest.

Common questions

The injector tests fine but one cylinder is dead. Is it the ECM?

Often yes. If the miss stays on the same cylinder after swapping injectors and the wiring checks out, the injector driver in the ECM is the likely cause.

Is this a flat price?

Yes: $525 flat for Cat 70-pin ECM repair through October 31 (regularly $745), paid at checkout, with a full refund on any normal failure we cannot fix.
