About the Cummins Celect Plus ECM

The 3408303 is the engine control module for the Cummins Celect Plus.

Celect and Celect Plus ran the N14 and M11 engines when Cummins moved them from mechanical to electronic fuel control, from the early 1990s through about 2002.

We repair this ECM on the bench and stock tested, remanufactured exchange units, programmed to your engine and ready to install. Send yours in for repair, or buy an exchange unit off the shelf.

Remanufactured Cummins Celect Plus ECM, P/N 3408303. Option A: Send-in rebuild & return of your own ECM — $1,050. Option B: Exchange (this listing) — ships from stock. Programmed to your CPL #, HP, torque, rear ratio, tire size, and transmission. Plug and play install. Standard programming included — usually ships same day on orders in by 2 PM CT. 2-year warranty. Core exchange required. $500 core deposit refunded when your old ECM returns within 90 days.

Common Cummins Celect ECM failures we repair

We fix these on the bench every day. Wiring and connectors can mimic ECM failure, so we test first.

  • Injector driver failure. A shorted injector or chafed harness wire feeds a fault back into the module and burns a driver circuit, usually starting as one dead cylinder. We rebuild the driver stage and bench-test every channel.
  • Fuel shutoff solenoid damage. A shorted shutoff solenoid drags down the ECM power feed, and the module cooks its own power circuit trying to hold voltage. A classic case of an ECM that took itself out.
  • Heat and vibration board damage. Years of heat cycling and engine vibration crack solder joints inside the module, throwing codes that come and go. We reflow and replace the failed parts.
