ISX and ISM ECMs are one of our two specialties. CM570 through CM2350 modules are repaired in-house at the component level, about 5 days on the bench, programmed back to your engine serial with your calibration intact, 2-year warranty.
We repair these every week. The three below cover most of what comes in.
What you see: A dead hole, a rough idle, or injector circuit codes that stay after a new injector and harness check.
What's happening: The injector driver stage inside the ECM has failed or the driver ground path has opened.
What we do: We rebuild the driver circuit and bench-fire every injector channel with a real load.
What you see: No datalink. INSITE or any RP1210 tool will not connect, on either J1939 or J1708.
What's happening: The datalink transceiver or its supply inside the module has failed, or the module is dead.
What we do: We restore the datalink on the bench and verify with INSITE before it ships.
What you see: Key on, no ECM power, no injector pulse. Sometimes intermittent after heat or a jump start.
What's happening: Internal power supply failure, blown protection components, or corrosion from water intrusion at the connector.
What we do: We repair the supply section, clean and seal intrusion damage, and load-test the module.
What you see: Green connector pins, intermittent everything, codes that change with weather.
What's happening: Coolant or rain got into the module through the harness connector and corroded the board.
What we do: We clean, repair the corroded traces and pins, conformal-coat, and test. If the damage is past repair we tell you first.
Don't see your exact symptom? Send it in anyway. We bench-test every unit before we tell you what's going on, and if we fix it the diagnostic cost you nothing.
The engine control module part number is on the ECM label; the family is usually in your INSITE ECM Image.
