Common Volvo and Mack ECM failures we repair
We fix these on the bench every day. Wiring and connectors can mimic ECM failure, so we test first.
- Injector driver faults. Failed injector-driver output circuits are one of the most common things we rebuild on this family, often after a harness short took the driver with it.
- No communication, J1939 loss. ECMs that drop off the J1939 bus and go to a no-start come across the bench regularly. We sort the internal comms fault from harness corrosion.
- Oil and water intrusion. The injector harness pass-through can leak oil into these units and moisture corrodes the board, a known weak point. We clean, repair, and reseal.
